The Qur’an is the best speech because it is the word of Allah. It's revealed by the best of angels (Jibreel, peace be upon him), to the heart of the best of the messengers (Muhammad, peace be upon him), in the best place (Makkah Al-Mukarramah), in the best time (the month of Ramadan), in the best night (the night of Al-Qadr), and in the best language (Arabic).

Allah challenged mankind and the Jinn to come up with a Surah like it, but they could not. And Allah ensured that it was preserved, so no one was able to add or subtract one letter from it over the years. And it is 114 Surahs, from Surah Al-Fatiha to Surah An-Nas. Allah made its recitation an act of worship that brings us closer to Him, for He Made reading one letter of it ten good deeds.
