In Tafseer Al Qurtubee, Yahya ibn Aktham - may Allah have mercy on them - said:

Ma'moon (a leader who died in 218AH), had a gathering which was attended by a handsome, well spoken Jewish man with a good garment and a good fragrance.

Once the meeting ended,  Ma'moon called him and said: "Are you from Bani Israaeel (ie. Jewish)?"

He replied: "Yes."

Ma'moon said to him: "Accept Islam, so I may be generous to you," and he promised him good things.

He replied: "Rather my religion and my forefathers’ religion!" Then he then left.

A year after, he came back as a Muslim. He spoke about Islamic law, Hadith and was very eloquent. Once the gathering ended, Ma'moon called him and said: "Are you not the same man who sat with us before?"

He replied: "Yes."

He said: "What lead you to accept Islam?"

He replied: "Listen and say 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the greatest):

After I left your gathering I wanted to test these religions, and I have a good handwriting. So, I began with the Torah and wrote three copies of it. I added parts to it and deleted others. I took them to the synagogue and they bought them from me without reading them or checking them.

Then I wrote three copies of the Bible. I added parts to it and deleted others. I took them to the church and they bought them from me without reading them or checking them.

Then I wrote three copies of the Quran. I added parts to it and deleted others. I took them to the transcribers of the Quran and they said they wouldn't accept them until they check them. They found the mistakes and saw that things had been added and deleted, so they burnt them and almost killed me!

Thus, I knew that this book has been preserved by Allah, so I accepted Islam."
