عيد الفطر ـ الانجليزية ـ Eid al-Fitr

1️⃣ Sunnah Greeting: It is an established practice to congratulate others on Eid by saying: "May Allah accept from us and from you" (Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minkum).

2️⃣ Zakat al-Fitr: It is obligatory to give one sa’ (a specific measure) of food as Zakat al-Fitr before the Eid prayer. If it is given after the prayer, it is considered an ordinary act of charity (Sadaqah) rather than the required Zakat.

3️⃣ Takbeer: It is Sunnah to recite the Takbeer starting from the night before Eid, continuing until the Imam comes out to lead the Eid prayer.

4️⃣ Eid and Friday Prayer: If Eid falls on a Friday, those who attend the Eid prayer are granted a concession to skip the Friday (Jumu'ah) prayer. If one does not attend Jumu'ah, they must pray four units (rak'ahs) of Dhuhr prayer instead.
However, the Imam is still required to establish the Jumu'ah prayer for those who wish to attend.

5️⃣ Fasting: It is strictly forbidden (Haram) to fast on the day of Eid.

6️⃣ Celebration: It is prescribed to express joy and happiness, provided it is done without violating Islamic law (Sharia).
