Al-Ma'un
The Small kindnesses
1 - Al-Ma'un (The Small kindnesses) - 001
أَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ
Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?
2 - Al-Ma'un (The Small kindnesses) - 002
فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِي يَدُعُّ ٱلۡيَتِيمَ
Such is the one who repulses the orphan harshly,
3 - Al-Ma'un (The Small kindnesses) - 003
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِ
and does not urge others to feed the needy.
4 - Al-Ma'un (The Small kindnesses) - 004
فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلۡمُصَلِّينَ
So woe to those who pray,
5 - Al-Ma'un (The Small kindnesses) - 005
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَن صَلَاتِهِمۡ سَاهُونَ
but are heedless of their prayer[1];
[1] i.e., the hypocrites who do not pray except to show off and others who are heedless to pray at their specified times.
6 - Al-Ma'un (The Small kindnesses) - 006
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ يُرَآءُونَ
those who only show off,
7 - Al-Ma'un (The Small kindnesses) - 007
