Hadeeth text
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "There was no prophet among the prophets except that he was given miracles through which people believed in him. But what I have been given is a revelation which Allah has revealed to me, and I hope to have the most followers among them on the Day of Judgment."

Explanation
The Prophet (ﷺ) mentioned that all the prophets were supported by Allah and were given miraculous signs that served as proof of their prophethood and led those who witnessed them to believe in their truthfulness. These miracles were beyond human ability to challenge or resist, though some people might still deny them out of stubbornness and arrogance. As for the Prophet (ﷺ), his sign and miracle is the Qur’an that Allah revealed to him, for it contains a clear and everlasting miracle due to its immense benefit and universal guidance. It includes the call to truth, decisive proof, and knowledge of what is yet to come. Thus, its benefit extends to those present and absent, to those who have existed and those who will exist. Then he said: I hope to be the one among them with the greatest number of followers on the Day of Judgment.

Ibn Hajar said regarding the Prophet's words: "But what I have been given is revelation which Allah has revealed to me": The meaning is not to confine all his miracles to this one, nor to deny that he was granted other miracles like those given to previous prophets; rather, the intent is that the Qur’an is his greatest and most distinctive miracle, unique to him alone.
An-Nawawi said: (And I hope to have the most followers among them)— this is one of the signs of his prophethood, for the Prophet (ﷺ) said this at a time when the number of Muslims was very small. Then Allah Almighty bestowed His grace, granted victory to the Muslims, and blessed them until Islam spread far and wide to the extent we see today—and all praise is due to Allah.
