In the Name of Allah; The Entirely Merciful, The Especially Merciful.
0. Introduction
All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, seek His help, and ask for
His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our selves
and the evils of our deeds. He whom Allah guides, none can
misguide, and he whom Allah misguides, none can guide. I bear
witness that there is no deity worthy of worship in truth but Allah,
alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His
servant and Messenger. As for what follows, this is a brief message
from the book “Zad al-Atqiya’ min Qasas ar-Rusul wal-Anbiya’,” in
which we have provided a sumMaryam of the prophets mentioned
in the Quran, without mentioning the complete stories. We ask
Allah, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining, to make it sincere for His
Sake, and to benefit the reader, writer, and assistant from it, for He
is the Guardian of that and is Able to do it. May Allah send peace
and blessings upon the best of creation Muhammad ibn Abdullah
upon all the prophets and messengers, and upon the family of ,ﷺ
the Prophet ﷺ, his companions, and those who follow them in
goodness until the Day of Judgment. Praise be to Allah, Rabb (i.e.,
Lord) of the Worlds.
Benefit: Ibn al-Qayyim said in “al-Fawa’id” (1/56): “O you who is
effeminate in their determination!! Where are you [from this path],
ﷺ struggled in, Nuh ﷺ and the path is a path on which Adam
mourned for, Ibraheem ﷺ was thrown into the fire, Ismael ﷺ was laid
down to be slaughtered, Yusuf ﷺ was sold for a cheap price and
remained in prison for several years, Zakariyya ﷺ was sawed, Yahya
ﷺ endured severe hardship, Dawuud ﷺ was slaughtered, Ya’qub ﷺ
wept abundantly, ‘Eesa ﷺ walked against monstrosity, Muhammad
suffered all kinds of abuse; [yet] you are adorning yourself with ﷺ
amusement and desire?!
